The DRV 60A (5–14S) is a high-performance electronic speed controller designed for UAVs requiring fast throttle response, precise control, and reliable communication. Supporting PWM and CAN inputs, it delivers stable propulsion for VTOL aircraft, multirotors, and industrial drones.

  • Achieves full motor speed in 0.25 seconds for rapid responsiveness.
  • An advanced algorithm ensures stability with disc-type BLDC motors.
  • Synchronous freewheeling delivers smooth, linear throttle behavior.
  • CAN protocol provides real-time integration with flight controllers.

The DRV 60A ESC offers a refined balance of performance, safety, and communication capability. Its intelligent drive system ensures consistent motor operation, even during aggressive maneuvers or VTOL transitions.  With full support for RPM/PWM input and CAN communication, it enables accurate control and synchronized propulsion across multi-motor UAV systems.

Multiple built-in protections safeguard the ESC and motor from extreme temperature, overload, voltage fluctuations, and signal loss—ensuring reliability for high-end aerial applications, long-duration flights, and industrial missions.

The DRV 60A ESC is engineered for precision UAV propulsion, offering smooth throttle control, rapid motor response, and high operational stability. Utilizing synchronous freewheeling technology it improves throttle linearity, reduces switching loss, and enhances efficiency across all operating conditions. Its communication flexibility makes it suitable for advanced platforms where coordinated propulsion or telemetry-based control is required.

Integrated Protection Functions

    • Short Circuit Protection: Instant shutdown if a short circuit occurs, followed by an automatic restart after 100 ms.
    • Stall Protection: The ESC stops output when a motor stall is detected. Reset the throttle to zero to resume operation.
    • Voltage Protection: Prevents startup below 16V or above 64V. Protection is disabled during flight to prevent midair shutdown.
  • Temperature Protection
  • Power reduced at 125°C.
  • Complete shutdown at 140°C.
  • Restart only when the temperature drops below 80°C and the throttle is set to minimum.
  • Throttle Loss Protection: If no throttle signal is received for over 2 seconds, power output is shut off and automatically restored once the signal returns.
  • Startup Protection: If the motor does not begin rotating within 10 seconds, the ESC disables output until the throttle is reset.

Throttle Calibration Procedure

  1. Set the throttle to maximum and power the ESC.
  2. After two “bi-bi” tones, lower the throttle to minimum.
  3. The “DO MI SO” tone indicates successful calibration.

FAQs

It supports 5S to 14S LiPo batteries.

Yes, it supports both CAN and traditional PWM input.

Possible reasons include throttle not at zero, voltage out of range, or signal loss.

At 125°C, output is reduced. At 140°C, the ESC shuts down until cooled below 80°C.

Yes, calibration ensures proper throttle range detection and smooth motor control.

Common causes include overload, stall protection triggering, or incorrect propeller selection.
