The ZDrive DRV 150A ESC is designed for high-load UAV propulsion systems where reliability, stability, and fast response are crucial. Its intelligent control architecture provides smooth throttle transitions, accurate motor handling, and improved efficiency, even under rapidly changing flight conditions.

Supporting both PWM/RPM input and CAN communication, the ESC integrates seamlessly with advanced UAV controllers, enabling telemetry feedback, synchronized motor control, and enhanced safety. Equipped with comprehensive protection systems, including temperature, voltage, stall, startup, overload, and signal-loss protection, it ensures reliable operation for VTOL systems, large professional drones, and long-duration industrial UAV missions.

Integrated Protection Functions

  • Short Circuit Protection: Automatically shuts down output when a short circuit is detected. Power can be reconnected after the issue is resolved.
  • Stall Protection: Stops output when motor stall is detected. Reset throttle to zero to resume operation.
  • Temperature Protection: Power reduced at 125°C, Complete shutdown at 140°C, Restart only when the temperature drops below 80°C and the throttle is set to minimum.
  • Throttle Loss Protection:  If no throttle signal is received for over 2 seconds, power output is shut off and automatically restored once the signal returns.
  • Voltage Protection:  Prevents startup below 16V or above 64V. Protection is disabled during flight to prevent midair shutdown.
  • Startup Protection: If the motor does not begin rotating within 10 seconds, the ESC disables output until the throttle is reset.
  • Throttle Calibration Procedure: Set throttle to maximum and power on the ESC, After two short “bi-bi” tones, lower throttle to minimum, the “DO MI SO” tone indicates successful calibration.
