The ZDrive DRV 40A (2–6S) ESC is a high-performance speed controller designed for reliable UAV and drone applications. It delivers smooth throttle response, quick acceleration, and stable motor output for precise flight control. With PWM compatibility, it connects easily with most flight controllers for seamless integration. Its compact design and dependable performance make it ideal for compact and medium-sized aerial platforms.

The ZDrive DRV 40A (2-6S) ESC features newly developed core software optimized for quadcopters, delivering improved throttle response and more precise control. Reduced signal crosstalk ensures smoother and more stable communication, while the default middle timing setting is suitable for most brushless motors. Designed for broad motor compatibility, it performs especially well with higher pole-count motors and supports flight controllers with high signal frequencies above 600Hz for enhanced compatibility and responsive operation.

Integrated Protection Functions

Short Circuit Protection: Stops output during a short circuit and restarts after 120ms.
Stall Protection: Stops output when a motor stall is detected; reset the throttle to resume operation.
Temperature Protection: Reduces output at 110°C, Full shutdown at 140°C, Restores output when cooled to 80°C and throttle reset.
Throttle Loss Protection: Cuts power after 0.3 seconds of signal loss and resumes when signal returns.
Voltage Protection: Blocks startup if the voltage is below 16V or above 64V.
Startup Protection: Disables output if the motor does not start within 10 seconds until throttle is reset.
Throttle Calibration Procedure: Move throttle to maximum and power on the ESC, After two “bi-bi” tones, reduce throttle to minimum, “DO MI SO” confirms successful calibration.
